We’re seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing accounting and business advisory team, working with clients on complex tax matters while serving as a trusted advisor and helping lead engagements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with 7+ years of experience who enjoys combining technical tax expertise with client advisory, tax planning, and team leadership. You’ll work with privately held businesses and their owners across a range of complex tax matters while mentoring staff and contributing to the continued growth of the tax practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory to clients
Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions
Review and supervise the preparation of tax returns for accuracy and compliance
Advise privately held Corporations, S Corporations and Partnerships
Handle state tax matters, tax compliance, tax accounting and consulting
Advise on the tax considerations affecting business owners and their individual returns
Lead client engagements and build strong, trusted client relationships
Mentor and provide guidance to tax staff
Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations
Requirements:
7+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in public accounting
Current CPA license required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Advanced degree preferred
Strong experience with complex tax matters and tax planning
Thorough knowledge of Corporations, S Corporations and Partnerships
Strong understanding of state tax matters
Experience with individual taxation and business-owner tax considerations
Strong research, analytical and client-service skills
Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess or Thomson Reuters UltraTax preferred
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
