CPA Tax Manager – Waukesha, Wisconsin Full Time

Introduction:

We’re partnering with an established CPA practice in Waukesha, WI seeking a CPA Tax Manager with strong experience across individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and high-net-worth taxation.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to take ownership of complex client relationships, review a diverse range of returns, provide tax guidance, and contribute to the success of a growing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and oversee federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and not-for-profit organizations.
• Manage complex high-net-worth and owner-managed business tax engagements.
• Provide tax planning, research, and advisory support to clients.
• Review tax returns for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Handle IRS correspondence and state tax notices, including resolution and representation.
• Work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide practical tax solutions.
• Manage client relationships and maintain a strong personal book of business.
• Prepare and review financial statements and provide full-service accounting support where required.
• Manage, mentor, and provide guidance to other members of the tax team.

Requirements:

• CPA designation required.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience preferred.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and owner-managed businesses.
• Strong federal and state tax knowledge.
• Experience handling IRS and state tax notices, correspondence, and resolution.
• Proven client relationship and advisory skills.
• Leadership or team management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
