Accounting Technician – Oakville, ON

We are seeking an Accounting Technician for an office in Oakville. This is a fully in-office role supporting the existing accounting technician and broader team in that office. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Performance Areas:

• Preparing T1 personal tax returns and T2 corporate tax returns
• Supporting bookkeeping and compilation engagements
• Working closely with clients and responding to inquiries
• Assisting the broader team with day-to-day accounting tasks
• Building relationships with team members during initial training in the Toronto office

Requirements:

• Experience with T1 and T2 tax preparation
• Strong bookkeeping and compilation experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset
• Comfort working in a fully in-office environment
• CPA is not required for this role, but of course would be an asset
